Your tools stay in your browser
The rent split, settle-up calculator, chore wheel, house rules template and bill calendar run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else, and the files you download (text, calendar) are made on your device.
What is stored on your device
So that your house is still there next time, each tool keeps its data in your browser's local storage: room names and sizes, the rent, your groups with people's names and expenses, the chore list and rota, your house rules text, and your bills with amounts and notes. It never leaves your device. Each tool has a button to start over, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything. Other people in your house only see this data if they use the same browser, so use Copy, Print or the .ics file to share it.
Page view counts
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and never receives what you type into the tools.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
