List the people and the jobs. Each week the wheel turns one step, so everyone takes a turn at the bathroom. Spin it for a fair start, then print the chart for the fridge.

## How the wheel turns

The chores are dealt into one slot per person, like cards. Each week every slot moves one place round the wheel, so after as many weeks as there are people, everyone has done every job once. If there are more chores than people, some slots hold two lighter jobs; pair a heavy chore with a light one by ordering the list (the first and the fifth chore share a slot when there are four people).

## Spin for a fair start

Nobody wants to argue about who cleans the bathroom first. **Spin** turns the wheel to a random starting point, and the rotation runs from there. The result is remembered in this browser, so the wheel shows the right week whenever anyone checks. If your device asks for reduced motion, the wheel moves straight to its new place without spinning.

## Making it stick

Print the chart and put it where everyone sees it, such as the fridge or by the front door. Agree what “done” means for each chore, and what happens when someone is away: a swap with a housemate is easier than a missed week.

## Questions

**What if someone moves out?**

Remove their name and the chores are dealt again among everyone left. The rotation keeps going from the same start date.

**Can the rota start on a different day?**

Yes. Pick any start date; each week runs seven days from it.

**Is anything saved?**

The names, chores, start date and spin result stay in this browser's local storage only.
